Refund policy
Effective date: September 28, 2026
Applies to: Yongcast · yongcast.com
If the language versions differ, the Simplified Chinese version prevails.
1. Cancel anytime and keep access for your paid period
Card subscriptions renew monthly. You can turn off automatic renewal anytime by opening Plans and billing → Manage subscription and billing in your account. After cancellation, you can continue using your paid service until the current period ends, with no further renewal charges afterward. Canceling a subscription is not a refund request.
Paid fees are non-refundable except where Yongcast is responsible for being unable to provide the service. This also applies to first purchases, automatic renewals and paid periods that were unused or had no successful streaming. We do not offer refunds based on unused days or refunds without a reason. Mandatory applicable law takes precedence.
2. Try the service before purchasing
The free trial includes one stream and 5 GB of total storage. It lasts seven days or 24 total streaming hours, whichever comes first. No payment details are required, and the trial does not turn into a paid subscription automatically. Storage uses binary units: 1 GB = 1024³ bytes.
3. Exceptions for service failures
If Yongcast is responsible for being unable to provide the service, email contact@yongcast.com from your registered address. Include your account email, the relevant invoice and a description of the problem. If the operator verifies that the exception applies, the operator issues a full refund for that payment through Stripe, cancels automatic renewal and confirms the cancellation. There is no refund button on the site.
- A full refund succeeds when Stripe reports its refund status as `succeeded`, rather than when the money reaches your account. Access for the refunded payment period ends immediately. Streams that lose valid access as a result stop. Other independently valid paid access is unaffected.
- A pending or failed refund does not terminate that period's access merely because a refund was requested. The operator will check and follow up.
- Refunding a payment and canceling automatic renewal are separate actions. The operator checks that the subscription is canceled so it does not generate another renewal charge.
- The operator initiates refunds through Stripe, normally to the original payment method. The payment institution and card issuer determine when the funds arrive.
4. Expiry and file retention
When your paid period ends without renewal, or an exceptional full refund leaves your account without valid paid access, streaming, uploads and starting new streams stop. Under Section 6.4 of the terms, video files are retained for seven days, after which deletion begins. Your account and stream settings remain. Renew successfully within seven days to keep your files; restart streams manually. Original upload handling after conversion still follows Section 5.1 of the privacy policy.
