1. About these terms

These terms form an agreement between you and Yongcast ("we", "us") governing your use of the service.

By registering an account or using the service, you confirm that you have read and agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

If you use the service on behalf of an organization, you must have authority to accept these terms on its behalf.

2. What the service does

Yongcast is an online service that helps creators run livestreams around the clock.

You upload your own video files, arrange playlists and connect your own YouTube channel. Our servers continuously stream those videos to your channel according to your settings. The service can keep running when your computer is off, subject to the availability provisions in Section 7.

Yongcast does not provide video content. You upload all content that is streamed.

3. Your account

Register with a valid email address and set a password.
You are responsible for all activity on your account, including keeping your password secure.
Contact us immediately if you discover unauthorized use of your account.
A person or organization must not register multiple free trial accounts to bypass trial limits.
You must be at least 18 years old, or have reached the legal age to enter into contracts independently in your jurisdiction.

4. Content you upload

This is the most important section of these terms. Please read it in full.

4.1 Your content rights stay with you

You or the relevant rights holder retain the legal rights to uploaded content. Uploading does not transfer ownership to us, and we do not claim ownership because you use the service.

4.2 Permission you give us

You grant us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, convert, cache and transmit your content to provide, maintain and protect the service, and to meet necessary security, compliance and legal obligations—only for those purposes.

This allows us to:

Store your files on our servers and storage systems.
Convert videos to a consistent technical format for continuous playback.
Cache copies on streaming servers.
Stream content to the destination you specify, according to your settings.

We will not use your content for other purposes, including public display, marketing, sale or training any model.

If you delete content, the license for that content ends when it is deleted from primary storage. If you delete your account, the license for your uploads ends when they are deleted from primary storage. If we suspend or terminate your account and temporarily retain data under Section 8.3, the license continues only to the extent and for the period necessary for data retention, export, complaint handling and final deletion.

4.3 Your responsibilities

You warrant that you own the copyright to every file you upload, or have a valid license from the rights holder sufficient to publicly stream it on platforms such as YouTube.

You must not upload:

Television programs, films, animation, variety shows, documentaries or sports events that you do not own and are not licensed to use.
Unauthorized retransmissions of live signals, including television channels and IPTV.
Content that infringes copyright, trademarks, image rights or other third-party rights.
Content that violates the laws of your location or the place where it is broadcast.

4.4 YouTube and other streaming platforms

When you stream to YouTube or another platform through Yongcast, you are also subject to that platform's terms, including YouTube's terms and content policies.

You are responsible for following those rules. We cannot negotiate with platforms on your behalf and are not responsible for actions they take against your channel.

4.5 Violations

If we reasonably believe your uploads infringe rights or violate the law, we may suspend or terminate your account and stop related streams without prior notice.

Paid fees are non-refundable except where Yongcast is responsible for being unable to provide the service, or where mandatory law requires otherwise.

We also cooperate with lawful complaints from rights holders as required by applicable law.

5. Usage restrictions

You must not:

Attempt unauthorized access to our systems or other users' data.
Interfere with or disrupt the service.
Use automated tools to scrape the service at scale.
Resell the service or share your account with others.
Bypass your plan's storage, simultaneous stream or streaming hour limits.

6. Plans and billing

6.1 Plans

We offer a free trial and several paid plans. Prices, storage allowances and simultaneous stream limits are described on the pricing page.

The maximum upload size is 20 GB per file. This is separate from your plan's total storage allowance. Storage uses binary units: 1 GB = 1024³ bytes. Uploads also depend on your remaining account quota and available server space.

Each paid service period lasts one month. Online purchases currently use monthly card subscriptions that renew automatically.

6.1.1 Free trial

You can start a free trial after registering, without adding any payment details.

The trial includes one stream and 5 GB of storage. It ends when either:

You use all 24 total trial streaming hours; or
Seven days have passed since registration.

You will not be charged when the trial ends. Any trial streams still running will stop. To continue, you must purchase a paid plan yourself.

When the trial ends, we send a file retention email to your registered address. Uploaded video files are retained for seven days after the trial ends. If you have not purchased a paid plan by then, deletion begins. See Section 5.1 of the privacy policy for original upload handling and how automatic deletion works.

One trial per person.

Different language versions of the site may display different currencies. The final amount is the amount shown at checkout.

Discounts are shown at checkout. After a promotion ends, your subscription renews automatically at the regular price.

6.2 Plan changes and additional storage

Only the base monthly plans listed on the pricing page are currently offered.

Self-service upgrades, downgrades and extra storage purchases are not available online yet. To change your plan or storage, contact us. Prices, capacity and effective dates are those we confirm with you.

6.3 Payment and the seller

The seller is the operator of Yongcast, identified at the end of these terms. Stripe processes payments as a third-party payment provider; Stripe is not the seller of this service.

Your contract for the purchase is with the operator of Yongcast.
Pay securely by credit or debit card.
Card subscriptions, such as those paid with Visa or Mastercard, renew monthly. The cards accepted at checkout may vary by currency, region and payment provider rules.
You pay the final total shown at checkout. Any taxes we are legally required to collect are included in that total. We will not later charge additional taxes or service fees that were not displayed at checkout. Your card issuer or payment institution may separately charge foreign transaction, currency conversion or other fees.
Stripe handles sensitive payment information. We do not access or store your full card number.

6.4 Renewal, expiry and stopping service

Card subscriptions

Subscriptions renew monthly, charging for the next period at the end of each paid period.
You can cancel anytime through the cancellation entry provided in your account. Your paid access continues until the end of the current period, with no further renewal charges afterward.
If a renewal payment fails, the rules under "Service stops at expiry" below apply. We will notify you by email as soon as possible. Stripe may retry the charge according to our billing settings. Access is restored after successful payment.

Renewal reminders

For active monthly card subscriptions with automatic renewal enabled, we send a reminder email seven days before the paid period ends.
Email settings, network issues or third-party email services may prevent delivery. Refer to the expiry time in your account.

Service stops at expiry, with no grace period

If the paid period ends without successful renewal, service stops immediately: running streams are stopped, and you cannot upload videos or start new streams.
Successful renewal or payment restores access, but streams do not restart automatically. You must start them manually.
When paid access ends without successful renewal—including expiry after cancellation and loss of access due to a refund—we send a file retention email on the day access ends.
Video files are retained for seven days after paid access ends, then deletion begins. Your account and stream settings are retained. Renew successfully within seven days to keep your files. Original uploads and automatic deletion follow Section 5.1 of the privacy policy.

6.5 Price changes

We may change prices. If a change affects future renewal charges on a card subscription, we will give at least 30 days' notice by email or an in-site notice. The new price applies only to paid periods after the notice period ends. You may cancel before the new renewal price takes effect.

6.6 Refunds

Cancel anytime and keep access for the current paid period. You will not be charged after it ends. Paid fees are non-refundable except where Yongcast is responsible for being unable to provide the service. After verifying an exception, the operator issues a full refund in Stripe, manually cancels the subscription and checks the cancellation result. Once the full refund succeeds, access for that payment period ends immediately; streams that no longer have valid access stop. See the refund policy for details. Mandatory applicable law takes precedence.

7. Service availability

We make reasonable efforts to keep the service available, but do not guarantee uninterrupted service.

We are not responsible for interruptions caused by:

Scheduled maintenance, for which we will try to give advance notice.
Outages, policy changes or channel enforcement by YouTube or another streaming platform.
Invalid stream keys, channel restrictions or channel closure.
Problems in your uploaded files that prevent playback.
Network operators, cloud providers, power supplies or other factors beyond our control.
Force majeure.

8. Suspension and termination

8.1 You may end your use anytime

You may cancel your subscription anytime. To delete your account, email contact@yongcast.com from your registered address. After verifying your identity, we will delete your account and all uploaded content within seven days. Deletion is irreversible, and we cannot restore it. Save any files you need beforehand. Billing and usage records that must be retained under the privacy policy are excepted.

8.2 When we may terminate

We may suspend or terminate your account if:

You violate these terms or the content policy.
Other amounts you owe are overdue.
Your use harms our systems or other users.
The law requires it.

Except for infringement, illegal activity or serious abuse, we will notify you first and allow a reasonable time to correct the issue.

Service stopping at the end of a paid period without renewal is governed by Section 6.4, without this section's prior notice or correction period.

8.3 After termination

If we terminate your account, we retain your uploads and necessary account data for 30 days to allow export, then delete them. Serious violations may result in immediate deletion. Billing, usage, security and legal compliance records retained under the privacy policy are not subject to this 30-day limit.

9. Intellectual property

We own the service itself, including its software, interface, documentation, name and branding. These terms transfer none of those rights to you.

10. Disclaimers and liability

10.1 Disclaimers

The service is provided "as is". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we make no express or implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement.

We do not guarantee any number of views or subscribers, revenue, platform treatment or freedom from restrictions on your YouTube channel. Those matters depend on YouTube, not Yongcast.

10.2 Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, except for liability that applicable law does not allow to be excluded or limited, our total liability to you will not exceed the fees you actually paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.

We are not liable for indirect or incidental losses, lost profits, loss of goodwill or data loss.

10.3 Your indemnity

If your uploaded content infringes third-party rights and causes claims, litigation or losses against us, you must reimburse the reasonable costs we incur as a result.

11. Backups

Keep your own original copies of uploaded videos. We make reasonable efforts to protect your data, but the service is not a replacement for your backups.

12. Changes to these terms

We may revise these terms. We will give at least 30 days' notice of material changes by email or an in-site notice.

Continuing to use the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance. If you do not accept them, cancel your subscription before they take effect.

13. Other provisions

Severability: If a provision is found invalid, the rest remains effective.
Entire agreement: These terms, the refund policy, the content policy and the privacy policy form the entire agreement between us.
No waiver: A delay in exercising a right does not waive it.
Language: If the language versions differ, the Simplified Chinese version prevails.
