Content policy
Effective date: September 28, 2026
Applies to: Yongcast · yongcast.com
If the language versions differ, the Simplified Chinese version prevails.
1. What this policy covers
Yongcast helps creators turn their own videos into channels that run around the clock.
We do not provide content. Users upload everything that is streamed. Having lawful, authorized content is a condition of using the service.
This page explains what is allowed, what is prohibited and how we enforce the rules. It forms part of the terms of service.
2. The core rule
Only stream content you own the copyright to, or content the rights holder has explicitly authorized you to broadcast publicly.
Those are the only permitted cases. If you are unsure whether you have the right to broadcast something, do not upload it.
3. Allowed content
The service is for creators with original content. Typical uses include:
- Online courses and instructional videos you record or commission.
- Language lessons: listening, speaking and reading materials you create.
- Meditation, relaxation, mindfulness, Buddhist teachings and religious talks: recordings by you or your organization.
- Music and ambient sound: content you own, or licensed music whose license permits commercial use and livestreaming.
- Educational videos, interviews and video podcasts you create or are licensed to use.
- Scenes, landscapes and time-lapse footage you film yourself.
- Animation and graphics you create.
Check stock media licenses carefully. Many standard licenses do not cover 24-hour looping livestreams. You must confirm that your license permits continuous public broadcasting.
4. Prohibited content
The following is prohibited and subject to action when found.
4.1 Infringing content
- TV shows, films, animation, variety shows and documentaries you do not own and are not licensed to use.
- Unauthorized retransmission of live signals, including television channels, IPTV and sports events.
- Unlicensed music, soundtracks or sound effects.
- Unauthorized use of other people's video clips, edits or derivative works.
- Content that infringes trademarks, image rights or rights to a person's name.
- Other people's content downloaded from another platform and reuploaded.
4.2 Illegal content
- Child sexual exploitation content. We take immediate blocking action, preserve necessary evidence as required by law and report to competent law enforcement or authorities.
- Incitement to violence, terrorism or extremism.
- Illegal trade in drugs, weapons, forged documents or similar items.
- Fraud, pyramid schemes, illegal fundraising or fraudulent investments.
- Privacy violations, including publishing private information without consent.
4.3 Adult content
- Pornographic or sexually suggestive content.
- Explicit nudity.
Adult content is not supported, regardless of legality or authorization.
4.4 Other unsupported content
- Deliberately misleading information, especially concerning health or public safety.
- Harassment, hate speech or discrimination against individuals or groups.
- Extreme gore or violence.
- Content solely intended to manipulate platform metrics, such as loops with no substantive content created only to accumulate watch hours.
5. Artificially increasing watch hours
Yongcast is not a tool for artificially inflating YouTube watch hours. We do not support that use.
Some people attempt to reach monetization requirements quickly by streaming others' content around the clock. This may violate YouTube's content or monetization rules. Unauthorized use of others' content also violates Section 4.1 of this policy. We do not support it.
Our pricing and trial limits are designed around serving creators with original content.
6. Enforcement
We enforce this content policy. The following describes capabilities we have and measures we take.
6.1 Before streaming
Product limits help prevent misuse
The free trial has strict storage and streaming limits: 5 GB and 24 total streaming hours, once per person. Available payment methods are those shown at checkout.
Whatever payment method is used, the service is only for creators with original content or valid authorization. A payment method is not a substitute for these rules and enforcement.
Our marketing consistently focuses on running your own content, without implying permission to broadcast other people's content.
6.2 During use
Risk-based review
Yongcast uses risk-based review. We may review account information, usage records and related content when unusual activity is detected, a report is received or review is otherwise necessary.
Signals may include an account uploading many videos in a short period, technical characteristics suggesting recordings from another platform, or the same content appearing across multiple accounts.
We do not proactively monitor every upload in full. We may review what is necessary when we detect unusual activity, receive reports or are required by law.
Necessary administrative visibility
Our operating dashboard can display video file lists, playlists and stream status by account to investigate reports and violations. This capability is already in operation. See the privacy policy for when authorized personnel may access user content.
6.3 After a report
Anyone can report a violation
Email contact@yongcast.com. We normally begin reviewing general reports within five business days. Copyright notices and serious illegal content use faster procedures under Sections 7 and 8.
We can act quickly
For valid complaints or clearly serious violations, we may stop streams or disable content, and further restrict or terminate accounts under Section 7.
Actions are recorded
Administrative actions such as subscription changes are recorded in audit logs with the actor, time and target. Actions such as stopping streams are recorded in system logs for traceability.
7. Handling violations
We respond according to severity:
| Situation | Response |
|---|---|
| First minor violation that may be a misunderstanding | Email requesting removal within 48 hours; stop the relevant stream if it is not removed |
| A copyright notice meeting the requirements | Prompt review and, where appropriate, expeditious stopping of streams or disabling of content, with notice to the user. Users may submit a counter-notice |
| Child sexual exploitation content | Immediate priority action: permanent blocking, preservation of necessary evidence as required by law, and reporting to competent law enforcement or authorities |
| Other serious violations, such as unauthorized retransmission, adult content or an obviously pirated library | Immediately stop the relevant streams and potentially restrict or terminate the account. Paid fees are non-refundable, subject to the exception for failures attributable to Yongcast and mandatory applicable law |
| Repeat infringement | See Section 9 |
8. Copyright notices and takedown
If you believe content on the service infringes your copyright, send a written notice using the contact method below. Include:
- Your identity and contact details: name, address, phone and email. If acting for a rights holder, explain your authority.
- A description of the copyrighted work, including its title and information or links establishing your rights.
- The precise location of the allegedly infringing content, such as the YouTube channel or livestream URL.
- A statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorized by the rights holder, their agent or the law.
- A statement that the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, you are authorized to act for the rights holder.
- Your physical or electronic signature.
Our response
We promptly review notices meeting these requirements and, where appropriate, expeditiously stop the relevant streams or disable content, while notifying the affected user.
Where to send notices
Send copyright complaints to contact@yongcast.com.
Knowingly submitting a false notice about non-infringing content may create legal liability, including damages and legal fees.
9. Repeat infringement
We terminate repeat infringers' accounts.
Verified repeat infringement may lead to permanent termination. Normally, three verified valid infringement notices against an account within 12 months result in permanent termination. Paid fees are non-refundable, subject to the exception for failures attributable to Yongcast and mandatory applicable law.
For serious or clearly malicious infringement, such as an account mainly containing unauthorized films, shows or retransmitted live signals, Yongcast may terminate the account before that number is reached.
Terminated users must not register again.
10. Counter-notices
If your content was taken down and you believe it was a mistake or you have the necessary authorization, you may submit a counter-notice.
Required information
- Details of the removed content and its location before removal.
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you believe in good faith the removal resulted from a mistake or misidentification.
- Your name, address and phone number, and a statement consenting to the relevant jurisdiction.
- Evidence of your rights, such as license agreements, original project files or raw footage.
- Your physical or electronic signature.
How we handle counter-notices
When a counter-notice meets the requirements, we forward it to the original complainant to the extent permitted or required by applicable law.
Where the statutory United States notice and counter-notice procedure applies, we may restore content if the original complainant does not notify us within the applicable waiting period that they have started legal proceedings concerning the content. In other cases, we decide whether to restore it based on both parties' evidence and applicable law.
If we confirm that we made a mistake, we restore your livestream as soon as possible and compensate for the interruption with additional service time.
Send counter-notices to contact@yongcast.com.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. Material changes will be announced by email at least 30 days in advance, and the effective date at the top of this page will be updated.
